Care Instructions
CLEANING & BRUSHING • When washing hair extensions, it is always best to let the hair air dry. You can also use a hairdryer on a low heat setting to speed up the drying process, making sure to keep the hairdryer about 30 cm away. Never sleep with wet hair. • Brush the hair thoroughly before washing and separate the bonds with your fingers if you have extended your hair with keratin bonds, as these can otherwise clump together. • When showering, gently massage the shampoo into the hair with downward motions; do not rub. Then rinse thoroughly! Do not shower with hot water; lukewarm is recommended. Use moisturizing conditioner while combing out the hair. Do not wash your extensions more often than necessary to avoid unnecessary wear and tear. • Use Poze Luxury Hair Care products for cleaning and care. With our products, you can be sure that they do not contain ingredients harmful to your hair extensions and your hair. Use a hair mask about twice a month as needed; do not use hair masks, oils, or other greasy products too often. Remember never to apply conditioner or hair mask near the bonds, as this can make them greasy and cause them to loosen or slip off. When using extensions, you should always avoid products containing non-water-soluble silicones, as these can make the hair very tangled and significantly reduce its quality. Use moisturizing products, not lubricating ones, as these can make hair extensions tangled. • Brush your hair every day, starting at the ends when brushing. We recommend boar bristle brushes for hair extensions. Use a wide-tooth comb to detangle knots and tangles in the hair before it dries. Preferably brush when the hair is dry. Always hold the bonds when brushing your hair to avoid pulling and breaking your extensions. STYLING • You can curl and straighten your hair extensions. You can style your hair extensions just like your own hair, but be extra careful and always use heat-protective products that are silicone-free. Avoid straightening or blow-drying your hair extensions too often. The more often you do it, the faster the hair will wear out. • Never place curling or flat irons directly on keratin bonds, as they can melt. Also, avoid placing them on bonds used with other hair extension methods. • Do not spray hairspray containing alcohol on your hair extensions, as this can damage the hair. Avoid styling products that contain silicones/alcohol. AVOID • Braiding your hair at night; nothing causes as much wear and tear as sleeping, as you twist and rub your hair during the night. Use a hair tie without metal. Never go to bed with wet hair. Brush it through again when you wake up. • Strong sun, heat, swimming in chlorine and saltwater can loosen keratin bonds and other extension bonds. Hair is especially susceptible to damage when exposed to such conditions; saltwater and chlorine can cause significant tangling, and blonde hair can become discolored. Rinse your hair thoroughly with fresh water after such exposure & use hair masks and leave-in products that protect the hair. Ideally, avoid getting your hair wet. We are not responsible for hair extensions used in the sun or water. • Avoid using greasy products such as hair masks and oils too often; we recommend about twice a month as needed. Lubricating products form a film around the strands that can stick together, making the hair tangled. • All toning, coloring, or other chemical treatments on the hair are done at your own risk. We do not recommend such treatments on your hair extensions as they have already been treated. We do not replace hair damaged due to chemical treatments.
