Care for real hair extensions

Cleaning and brushing
• When washing your hair extensions, it is always best to let the hair air dry. You can also use a hairdryer on low heat to speed up the drying process, remembering to keep the hairdryer about 30cm away. Never sleep with wet hair.
• Brush your hair thoroughly before washing and separate the bonds with your fingers if you have keratin extensions, as these can otherwise clump together.
• When showering, gently massage the shampoo in downward motions; do not rub. Then rinse thoroughly! Do not shower with hot water; lukewarm is recommended. Use moisturizing conditioner while combing out your hair. Do not wash your extensions more often than necessary to avoid unnecessary wear and tear.
• Use Poze Luxury Hair Care products for cleaning and conditioning. With our products, you can be sure that they do not contain ingredients that are harmful to your extensions and your hair. Use a hair mask about twice a month as needed; do not use masks, oil, or other greasy products too often. Remember never to apply conditioner or a hair mask near the bonds as it can become greasy and cause the bonds to loosen or slip. When using extensions, you should always avoid products containing non-water-soluble silicones, as these can make the hair very tangled and significantly impair quality. Use moisturizing products and not lubricating ones, as these can make extensions tangled.
• Brush your hair every day, starting at the ends when you brush. We recommend boar bristle brushes for hair extensions. Use a wide-tooth comb to detangle knots and snags in your hair before it dries. Preferably brush when the hair is dry. Always hold the hair at the bonds when brushing to avoid pulling and damaging your extensions.

Styling
• You can curl and straighten your hair extensions. You can style your hair extensions just like your own hair, but be extra careful and always use silicone-free heat protectant products. Avoid straightening or blow-drying your hair extensions too often. The more often you do it, the faster the hair will wear out.
• Never place curling or straightening irons directly on the keratin bonds as they may melt; also avoid them on bonds for other hair extension methods.
• Do not spray hairspray containing alcohol on your hair extensions as this will damage the hair. Avoid styling products that contain silicones/alcohol.

Avoid
• Braid your hair at night; nothing causes as much wear and tear as sleeping, as you twist and rub your hair during the night. Use an elastic band without metal. Never go to bed with wet hair. Brush it through again when you wake up.
• Strong sun, heat, swimming in chlorine and saltwater can loosen keratin bonds and other extension attachments. Hair suffers extra damage when exposed to such conditions; saltwater and chlorine can severely tangle hair, and blonde hair can become discolored. Rinse your hair thoroughly with fresh water after such exposure and use hair masks and leave-in products that protect the hair. Preferably, avoid getting your hair wet when swimming. We are not responsible for extensions used in the sun or while swimming.
• Avoid using greasy products like oils and repair masks for damaged hair (only moisturizing products should be used). Emollient/oil-based products form a film around the strands that can cause them to stick together and tangle the hair. Avoid these types of products and focus solely on moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, and spray conditioner. To ensure you use products that do not affect the quality of your hair extensions, we strongly recommend our products from Poze Luxury Hair Care. We cannot test and guarantee all products on the market, meaning the use of other products is at your own risk.
• All toning, coloring, or other chemical treatments on the hair are done at your own risk. We do not recommend such treatments on your hair extensions as they have already been treated. We do not replace hair that has been damaged due to chemical treatments.

Care for Clip & Go Hair Extensions
• Avoid sleeping with Clip & Go Extensions. Remove them from your hair before sleeping to ensure a more comfortable sleep and to prevent unnecessary wear and tear on your hair extensions.
• When exercising, you should remove the hair extensions. This keeps the hair fresher and reduces the need for frequent washing.
• Air out the hair when you feel it is not fresh; you do not need to wash it every time you shower. If this does not help, then it is time to wash it. When you do need to wash it, do so separately and gently towel-dry it before allowing it to air dry. Brush through the hair once it is dry.
We are not responsible for how you care for your hair or if you damage it due to poor products or improper care. Therefore, the product cannot be claimed or returned once the packaging has been opened.
