Care

CLEANING & BRUSHING • When washing hair extensions, it's always best to let the hair air dry. You can also use a hairdryer on a low heat setting to speed up the drying process, remembering to hold the hairdryer approximately 30 cm away. Never sleep with wet hair. • Brush the hair thoroughly before washing and separate the bonds with your fingers if you have extended your hair with keratin bonds, as these can otherwise clump together. • When showering, gently massage the shampoo in a downward motion, do not rub. Then rinse thoroughly! Do not shower with hot water, lukewarm water is recommended. Use moisturizing conditioner while combing out the hair. Do not wash your extensions more often than necessary to avoid unnecessary wear. • Use Poze Luxury Hair Care products for cleaning and care. With our products, you can be sure that they do not contain ingredients harmful to hair extensions and your hair. Use hair mask about twice a month as needed; do not use hair mask, oil, or other oily products too often. Remember never to apply conditioner or hair mask near the bonds as it can become greasy and cause the bonds to loosen or slip off. When using extensions, always avoid products containing non-water-soluble silicones, as these can make the hair very tangled and significantly degrade its quality. Use moisturizing products, not greasy ones, as these can make hair extensions tangled. • Brush the hair daily, starting at the ends. We recommend boar bristle brushes for hair extensions. Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle knots and tangles in the hair before it dries. Preferably brush when the hair is dry. Always hold the hair at the bond when brushing to avoid pulling and damaging your extensions. STYLING • You can curl and straighten your hair extensions. You can style your hair extensions just like your own hair, but be extra careful and always use silicone-free heat protection products. Avoid straightening or blow-drying your hair extensions too often. The more often, the faster the hair wears out. • Never place curling or straightening irons directly on keratin bonds as they can melt; also avoid doing so on bonds with other hair extension methods. • Do not spray hairspray containing alcohol on your hair extensions as this will damage the hair. Avoid styling products containing silicones/alcohol. AVOID • Braiding your hair at night; there is nothing that causes as much wear as sleeping, as you twist and rub your hair during the night. Use a hair tie without metal. Never go to bed with wet hair. Brush it through again when you wake up. • Strong sun, heat, swimming in chlorinated and saltwater can loosen keratin bonds and other extension bonds. Hair wears out extra much when exposed to such conditions; hair can tangle severely from saltwater and chlorine, and blonde hair can become discolored. Rinse hair thoroughly with fresh water after such exposure & use hair mask and leave-in products that protect the hair. Preferably, avoid getting your hair wet. We are not responsible for hair extensions used in sun or water. • Avoid using oily products such as hair masks and oils too often; we recommend about twice a month as needed. Oily products form a film around the strands that can stick together and thus make the hair tangled. • All toning, coloring, or other chemical treatments on the hair are done at your own risk. We do not recommend such treatments on your hair extensions as they have already been treated. We do not replace hair that has been damaged due to chemical treatments.
